#HappyHourClub: St. Peter's Mule
Hello 2015! It's been a whirlwind of a year already and exciting things are happening. In honor of all the excitement, I happen to stumble into a fun new drink I'd like to call St. Peter's Mule. This drink came out by pure accident when I thought I was making a hard cider mule. In my haste to exit the Whole Foods as soon as possible, I grabbed the wrong bottle of booze. Thankfully, some mistakes turn into sweet rewards! Isn't that how life works?
Ingredients:
- 1 bottle of St. Peter's Sorgham Beer
- Candied Ginger for garnish
- Applewood Smoked Salt
- Bundaberg Ginger Beer
- 1-2 Limes
- 1-2 Apples
- Ice
Directions:
Grab a copper mug and prep the rim with lime. Next salt the rim with applewood smoked salt but remember, a little goes a long way. Next fill cup with lots of ice. Now, take both bottles and pour together (nice and slow of course). While the ginger and gluten-free beer settles in the glass, garnish the drink with a nice big piece of dried ginger candy and an apple wedge. This drink is nice and refreshing, perfect if you'd like to mix it up without tons of prep time.
