Got digital clutter? Let that sh*t go.
I don't know about you, but I'm entirely in detox mode. Like take Marie Kundo Method and times it by 100. As most in the quarantine COVID-19 debacle we like to call 2020; I've entertained myself with lots of projects. Most revolve around editing out the unnecessary, like the clutter and the toxic stuff (mainstream media that means you).
I'm currently in the thick of posting items online via Facebook Marketplace, Offer Up, and eBay. One thing is for sure it's insane how much time is required to manage and sell. But I am happy to report that today after four months, we sold our full-sized mattress. Hey, that's a win!
I'm a massive fan of David Hawkins's book Letting Go: The Pathway to Surrender, so this purge hits both the energetic plane and the material plane equally. Hey, sidebar: maybe Marie read David's book? Something to think about. So why the photo of the giant happy face if this post is about letting go? Well, there's digital clutter too. My photo library is out of control. We're talking about over 40k images. YIKES. Overwhelming as hell, but I figured out my hack: 10-20 minutes a day to clear the digital clutter away. I am finding gems that have me laughing nonstop, and I also see photos that plain suck. Goodbye, blurry pics and pictures filled with people from the past weren't in my highest good. The release from cleaning up my digital life has been intoxicating.
If you too are having an overload of digital junk, trust me, it's time to let that shit go. It not only feels right for your device, but it feels damn good for your soul. Happy digital decluttering!
