week 06.17.16
The last week in LA has been gloomy, which fits the sadness felt across the world with the tragedies that happened in Florida this past week – so much loss, it is hard to not feel the pain. In response to everything that has happened, there has been a tremendous amount of love being shared. Props to social media, as I've seen so many beautiful tributes like LA's artist, Dallas Clayton, who took to the streets with his colorful chalk and simple messages of love. Luckily enough to stumble upon one myself while leaving Dinosaur coffee on Monday, I couldn't help but cry–not because of fear but because of a heavy heart seeing the world in pain. Needless to say that I haven't been myself this week, as I've been lost in thought and over analyzing on if I'm spending my time wisely with those I love, as well as those I haven't spoken to in ages. Hoping that this rain cloud lifts, I've kept in mind the advice below to help move forward. This weekend will be well spent with Sam and the fur kids in celebration of Father's Day and the summer solstice. Hopefully yours will be too.

Recently on instagram, there's been a ton of posts featuring Seven Magic Mountains, an art installation located near Las Vegas. Sadly this week, I stumbled upon the news that vandals defaced the beautiful art piece by Ugo Rondinone. Most likely this has been corrected but wanted to share as it's easy to forget how curated instagram life can be and how we need to appreciate public art as it's vulnerable to those that just don't get it.

Look who got a makeover...Lucky Peach! Love this magazine, it's always inspiring with unique stories and the print version's design layout is beyond amazing. Now their online version can compete. ;)
