travel: lax

Confession: my husband likes me to park and meet him at the baggage claim when he travels.

Some would think that's romantic, while others like the Seinfeld crew, would not. The first time I heard this request was after I offered to pick up my love from the airport. Naturally I thought "that's so cute of him"...well, fast forward years later and throw in some trips to the airport during holiday session and you can see why it's lost it's luster. Not allowing that to get me down, I quickly found my preferred parking lot and short cut in and out of the craziness. And don't get me wrong: I still find my husband cute for being romantic, just not the holiday traffic.

Arrive early at LAX and take a seat.

So to make things interesting, I decided on my last trip to LAX to pick up Mr. B, that I would arrive early enough to surprised him because this time I tricked him into thinking I forgot and wasn't going to be able to pick him up. During my wait time, I found some design gems at LAX: iconic symbols, bold color and lots of negative space. Highly recommend taking time to see what's around you at Los Angeles International Airport as the normal trip can be so quick. Oh, and if you're wondering, Sam was totally surprised. Point for Marissa. :D
