#happyhourclub: the Stop and Go Margarita for Cinco De Mayo!
Cinco de Mayo is here and this year we're all about the frozen margarita! If you know us, this is a big step away from our "on the rocks" order but somehow we got convinced of this slushie twin during our recent travels to Mexico City.
Let's breakdown this recipe:
the Goods:
Vitamix or blender
Lots of Ice
Kern's Guava Juice
Kerns Mango Juice
Simply Limeade
Evolution Fresh Essential Greens Juice with Lime
Limes (for garnish)
Tajin
Tequila (Cazadores Reposado was our preferred choice but blanco works as well)
Let's do this! First rim your glasses with lime and Tajin. Seriously, you'll thank us!
The Vitamix is going to be your bestie during this process. Separate out the ingredients into 3 color categories and line up in the following order: GREEN: Simply Limeade + Evolution Fresh Essentials Green Juice with Lime, YELLOW: Kern's Nectar in Mango, RED: Guava + Strawberries. In order to get that true stop/go look, you'll need to blend these grouping separately. First blend the green grouping, adding helping hand of ice and tequila (about 1 shot). Once blended add to your glass, slowly pouring. Use the help of a cocktail spoon to avoid any gloopy glomps. Next, do a light rinse of your Vitamix (don't want any color changes here) repeat the steps. If you don't want it that strong, stick to 1 shot total. In the Berrini house, we like ours with 3 but you should see the size of our mugs!
Lastly, garnish that glass with a lime wedge and straw. Enjoy!
