Valentine's Day Gifts Ron Swanson Would be Giddy Over
This post may seem ridiculous because Ron Swanson would never be caught celebrating Valentine's Day, let alone partake in anything that was developed by the candy companies. Regardless we all have that man in our life that must be spoiled. The challenging part is finding the perfect gift to make him happy. If your guy has a rather eclectic whiskey and meat palette for taste than this selection might do for you what riddles did for Ron (see pure happiness in the clip below). So forget the normal gifts that just won't cut it because below we have you covered for winning over your man's man.
For the Outdoorsman: Best Made Company
This brand got their name right (they should because they come from the design world and branding is their thing). I found this company from Joe Stewart , the Global Creative Director at Huge Inc during his creative mornings lecture last month. As he stated, all the products they make are simple but crafted perfectly that you will happily pay more for common items like an axe, knife or chair. The functionality of these masterly crafted products also exceeds high expectations. Start your collection off with these Seamless & Steadfast Enamel Steel Cups (Set of Two). Super lightweight and durable for camping trips with the guys.
For the Philanthropist: Drift Relief
Does your man drink the hard stuff but he also has a heart of gold? Then this might be his favorite gift yet. Thanks to Design Crush, I stumbled upon Drift Relief, an art project that was created after Hurricane Sandy devastated the Jersey Shore. Creating beauty out of disaster, founders Allbriton Robbins and Hema Patel (Creative Directors in New York City), took the initiative to create art from pieces of driftwood that washed ashore after Hurricane Sandy. The proceeds go to benefit those that lost everything. If this doesn't earn you a gold star, than I don't know what will.
For the Manly Hipster: Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine
Flannel shirts, long hair and a scruffy beard sums up this stud. Lucky for me, that's my man. He's rugged, artsy, handy AND sensitive – ok enough bragging. While planning out Sam's Valentine's gift, I stumbled upon this product at BevMo. I couldn't help but add it to my cart. A last minute purchase well worth it as we'll be heading to Mammoth for an overdue vacation. I'm expecting this family owned Tennessee moonshine will be the icing on the cake for whats to come. Move over hot toddy, there's a new brew in town.
Last but not least, since I know this post is a little too late, just give him what you know he'll love most, acknowledgment for being the best man in your life (well next to Dad). ;)
