Moodboard: Missing those Neon Lights
The beauty of neon. Today I found myself feeling nostalgic. My thoughts began to wonder if I would ever be able to attend another festival, fair, or concert again? All of a sudden, those dreaded lines to get a slice of spicy pie pizza didn't seem so horrible. Depressing, but it's an honest question to ask. Since life has completely done a 180 degrees turn and then did 10 backflips, the things we used to take for granted are now off-limits. 2020 came in like Jack Nicholson in the Shining and axed out EDC, Burning Man, and all the fun in between. What the hell happened? Please don't answer that. We all know what happened—2020 shit on our parade.
At the same time, not all of this has been horrible. (Trying to find the light here!) There's been some major inner soul work going on for some. Some people are thriving, and priorities for the family have skyrocketed. Add in that the planet needed (and still needs) a massive break from humanity's selfish and archaic ways (coal production?), and you have some light? But where is the fun lately? This girl needs some entertainment that isn't another Monk episode. Being a Generator in Human Design, I live for doing what I love, and that leans into adventures. My heart was pumping crazily for a few minutes. The what-ifs and should-haves started piling in. What if I couldn't ever go on another crazy carnie ride again? (Have you been on Ring of Fire?) What if that was my last burn? I should have brought more playa dust home to play in. Damn it, the missed opportunities. Definitely will not pass up another chance again.
While reminiscing, I found some neon photos and figured why not share. Since there aren't many late nights out and about, maybe this will give you a dose of neon lights you've been craving. Hope you enjoy!
