Quotable: Alice In Wonderland

During my hunt for a Carvel's birthday cake for Samuel last week, I felt overwhelmed by the realities of this city. It was as if my senses were hyper aware of the ugliness of LA: the poverty level, the homeless animals and how many people in this city feel they are so entitled. Normally I choose not to write about things like this, as I want to put forth a positive vibe but my heart just hurts. The hard truth has my heart strings on overload. So to battle this reality bite, I've decided to clean house and donate what I can. I have tons of DVDs that need homes, I've already donated my blankets to the local animal shelter for winter and now I need to think of other ways I can be of service. If you have any, please feel free to share. It would be a nice dose of positive. As for today's quote? I couldn't help but share this gem from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. I think it sums up perfectly how I feel. I'm choosing to have my reality be creative and filled with light one thought and action at a time.
