Behind The Scenes: Studio City Tattoo

StudioCityTat_BG.jpg

Yes, you read that right: Studio City Tattoo. This mission was for 2 tattoosone for each arm. Kind of crazy I know, but this wasn't just a last minute decision for an adrenaline rush. This time around I went with a purpose and it involved some help from my friend and calligrapher, Christie Jones of Bedsidesign. Last week I shared the story behind my new tattoos and the collaboration with Christie. Today I'm giving you the behind the scenes of my visit with Captain Dave. While this wasn't my first experience in the chair, Captain Dave made it the easiest. He may look like a tough guy but this artist nailed the delicate look of Christie's designs, solidifying he is a master of his craft. Additional proof can be seen in Sam's latest tattoo of The Goonies skull and bones. While Sam documented this process and kept me company, my nerves were more of what will my mother think but that's another story for another time. If you're interested in calligraphy services, be sure to check out Christie's site and for those located in Los Angeles, Captain Dave is the man to see for your next tattoo, especially if it's your first. Of course, I highly recommend combining both masters of their craft because in my eyes, they are an awesome dynamic duo.Date Night at Studio City Tattoo
