Adventure: Rainy Day Excursion To The Los Angeles River

Perhaps it was waking up to a dewy backyard filled with much needed puddles of water or jumping on bikes with my love heading to Proof Bakery but this morning's adventure got me reminiscing about a recent exploration of the Los Angeles River during LA's last rainstorm. Seeing the activity of the Glendale Narrows with it's raging waters and wildlife made me appreciate even more how lucky Sam and I are to have this hidden gem in our backyard. The LA river is easy to overlook or take for granted but I encourage you to get out there and check it out. With over 48 miles of river extending from the Valley to Long Beach, you are sure to find some fun.
