Music Mania 7 / Silver & Gold Holiday Music
The holidays have hit at Castle Berrini and this time we have stockings up on the mantle thanks to Lovely Indeed's Chelsea and her wonderful West Elm workshop. In order to infuse the house with holiday cheer, I have been blasting the following music nonstop until the neighborhood grinch's heart grows 10 times bigger. Lately I've been listening to Sirius Radio's Seriously Sinatra station on repeat and had to compile some 40s tunes worthy of ol' blue eyes himself and some old school faves like Dolly Parton. I even struck gold with a tune from my favorite Cabot Cove lady,Angela Lansbury. Who knew she could belt out one hell of a little christmas? Oh why I did because I grew up watching Bedknobs and Broomsticks. Yes, my love for her runs deep. While you bake your sugar sticks and gingy houses, blast these Christmas songs and I guarantee you'll be singin' We're A Couple of Misfits in no time. But don't fret, you still have plenty of time left for some last minute yule. By the way, what does that even mean?
More behind the music here: Frank Sinatra, Angela Lansbury, Dolly Parton, Judy Garland, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Jackson 5, Eartha Kitt, Burl Ives, Herbert Rehbein, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Billie Richards, Paul Soles, B. Swanson Quartet, Owen Bradley, Maury Laws
