Music Mania 6 / It's Electric: Meet Gigawatt, My Electric Car

Oh man, has this last week been crazy. I swear I'm living mi vida loca chapter of my life. Most likely we'll all have a good laugh about this when I'm in my rocking chair yelling at Sam to speak a little louder. This year has been filled with change and I just up the ante by switching my gas guzzler hot rod to one a little more compact and fully electric. That's right, my days at the pump are officially done-zo. I'm cruisin LA in an electric car. With so many questions coming my way from everyone around me on why the big change I decided it would be best to share the adventure on the blog. So as part of this life shift, I'll be documenting the journey with my Fiat 500e and bringing you along on the ride. That includes all the benefits (financial perks, no more gas station woes), trails (have to find some) and tribulations (I dare not go out on the town with just 15% battery) I might experience. I've only had Gigawatt for less than 72 hours. Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot to mention I named her Gigawatt, thanks to my neighbor Jesse who started reciting the famous line from Doc in the Back to the Future's clip here. In that time I've laughed and had a couple of panic attacks like: what happens if I need to charge in the rain?!? All and all I'm hoping this life change will help me make a positive impact environmentally, financially and get people warmed up to the idea of alternate energy sources.
