Join Us for Run on the Wild Side with California Wildlife Center
If you follow me on twitter or instagram, you know by now I'm obsessed with animals. Sam and I have 2 dogs and 1 cat (who thinks she's a dog) and according to him I am no longer allowed to bring anymore fur kids home. So how do I fill this need and void in my heart? I strap on my walkin shoes and head straight to Zuma Beach for the Run on the Wild Side event benefiting California Wildlife Center. It's a simple and great way to help the center get some much needed support for all the amazing work they do (see video below if you don't believe me). They help wildlife in Southern California get a fighting chance when they suffer from humanity's selfishness and lack of respect (yes, I'm on my soapbox). If life was fair, things would be different but it's not fair as my dad continuously points out so that's when hard work comes in. Time to get on the loud horn for the things you care about and bring attention to them. With budget cuts across the country, it's the parks, animal shelters and wildlife centers that take a big hit. So for me, I'll be walking with my friend Lau in honor of California Wildlife Center's work. Come join us—we may even get some margaritas afterwards to celebrate!
