Wednesday’s Spotify Featured Playlist: Purity Ring

In honor of Purity Ring playing at the El Rey this coming Thursday, we dedicated this Wednesday's Spotify featured playlist to you PURITY RING. The sold out show is part of Goldenvoice's "LOCALCHELLA", a nice little break before their next appearance at the second week of Coachella. Sam and I decided this was a must for our concert list, in addition to Bat for Lashes who are performing at the end of the month. Purity Ring's recent album, SHRINES, has been on repeat for me ever since seeing them at FYF Fest last year.  Not sure if it's just me but the band members slightly remind me of Portlandia characters (put a bird on it?). Regardless, their music is hypnotic, ethereal and a tad dark (check out lyrics to Belispeak here). So tomorrow if you are lucky to score tickets, be sure to tweet us!
