Launched in 2010, Marissa's online journal tells of adventures with her husband Sam, their fur kids, the occasional cocktail creation and lots of conversations with inspiring people. This blog serves to celebrate tiny victories, inspiration for those times you're stuck in a rut and bring together a community that wants more than a perfectly curated feed of eye candy. Sometimes you just got to throw it out there and see where it goes!

ArtSpeak: Steven Klein

Steven Klein according to Anna Wintour

This past weekend was spent doing what I love: creative direction. While I wasn't behind the camera for the shoot, I was working along side one of my favorite photographers, Kelsey Fugere. I can't wait to share the behind the scenes of the shoot later this month and give you a look at what we created. For now, let's get inspired by photographer, Steven Klein. During a brainstorm session, Kelsey introduced me to Klein's work. I had seen it many times in Vogue and V Magazine but didn't realize who the genius was behind the photos. After doing some research, it's apparent Klein is an artistexploring new ideas and ways to make the viewer stop and think instead of typical "pretty" images we see in the glossies. Recently he shot Kate Moss for Alexander McQueen. Check out this campaign film, but be warned: this isn't some Karadashian short.
