welcome

to the colorful journal of Marissa Berrini, creative director, artist and curator living in Los Angeles. Launched in 2010, Marissa's online journal tells of adventures with her husband Sam, their fur kids, the occasional cocktail creation and lots of conversations with inspiring people. This blog serves to celebrate tiny victories, inspiration for those times you're stuck in a rut and bring together a community that wants more than a perfectly curated feed of eye candy. Sometimes you just got to throw it out there and see where it goes!

This Weekend Already Booked: Los Angeles Activities!

This Weekend Already Booked You know when the week goes by so fast that it becomes a blur? Well, that happened for us. No wonder the house is a mess and looks like all hell broke loose. Sam and I have a knack for jam packing way too many things or events into our calendars. Actually, my mother just gave me the memo along with a high importance email that said STOP and PRIORITIZE. I have to say, it's time I take her advice (yes mom, I am following through on this one) but it will have to wait until Monday, as this weekend is already book with so much goodness and fun, I can't contain myself. Below is a list of our work week activities and weekend agenda. Hopefully we'll see you this weekend!

Work week:

Monday: Bowling league

Tuesday: Bat for Lashes @ the Fonda

Wednesday: Guest Post on Be Up & Doing

Thursday: Boots Electric @ Bordner's / Designed poster for SOFAR gig

Friday: Photo Shoot @ work / SOFAR secret Show

Weekend Agenda:

Saturday:

Find a piñata. Thanks to Kelly from Studio DIY, this is the mission for today.

Ride bikes to TERI HATCHER's CELEBRITY YARD SALE BENEFITTING JAA, a yard sale at Americana at Brand for our good friends philanthropy

Work on derby cars. Spider pig is going to have to wait until next time. This month I'm focusing on a tribute car.

Sunday:

Atwater Village Beer, Wine & Food Festival: finally, a beer fest in our neighborhood. That means bikes, beers and cheat day from my diet. Whoot whoot!

Supporting our friend, Addie on her film, Time Out of Mind, screening at the 13th Annual FirstGlance Film Fest Hollywood. Get your tickets here. It's all about supporting those that are living their dream.

What are your plans? Do you have a habit of overbooking your week? If so, what tips can you share to help prioritize or manage your schedule better?
