Nerdist Podcast Live! at Club Nokia

Yesterday, while the rest of Los Angeles was watching the Kings in overtime during the second game for the Stanley cup, Sam and I were treated to a night at Club Nokia featuring Nerdist Podcast crew Chris Hardwick, Jonah Ray and Matt Mira. Here is our recap:

Andy Richter was the special guest. Coming off his recent interview with Howard Stern, Richter jabbed at Mira with jokes of Apple Store nonsense. Look for Andy to make an appearance in the upcoming Arrested Development movie.

Hardwick cock blocked an annoying nerd guest from being that guy that interrupts all night. (applause roared)

The quemments made a physical appearance with 4 chicks and a lonely dude dressed in t-shirts representing questions and comments. During the actual quemments section, Hardwick made the guests stand up and remain standing during the entire time. That portion was priceless.

Chris Hardwick's mom surprised everyone with a comment about Hardwick's act and birth. (ew)

Then some guy that odd resembled James Spader joined the crew on stage. Accompanied by this guitar, he added a riff the quemments.

Night was wrapped up by the Duke Spirit who followed up with a show at the Echoplex.

On a personal note, Richter is starting to look like Chris Farley. Odd. Jonah Ray's new album, HELLO, MR. MAGIC PLANE PERSON, HELLO is worth the purchase.
